Review: Ugly Love

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Description:
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

My Thoughts:
Okay I will warn you now. Get your tissues handy. I seriously cried reading this book. However, don’t let that stop you from reading it because it is really good.

Tate is literally the girl next door. She has moved in with her brother to get a fresh start and go back to school. She is going after her Masters in Nursing, so if you know anything about that type of schooling you know she is dealing with some hard classes. On top of that she is working too, so she has a pretty full plate.

Miles is the hot neighbor, to say the least. He is friends with Tate’s brother, Corbin.  Miles is very closed off and you spend the majority of the book wanting to smack some sense into both him and Tate. He can be such a sweet guy one minute and a jerk the next.  However, as you read the book you get flashes back to 6 years prior and things begin to make sense.

Tate and Miles decided that they can have a no strings attached relationship and nothing more. Within days Tate realizes this is not going to work for her, but she continues to bury her feelings because she has hope in Miles. Finally hope runs out and everything comes to an end.

Will they get past Miles' issues? What is it that has held him back for 6 years? I will not tell you! All I can say is again be prepared for sadness that I can honestly say would rank right up there in my worst nightmares.

I cannot leave this review without mentioning Cap. He is the elderly gentleman that pushes buttons for the elevator. He is an excellent listener and gives great advice as well. He also knows how to keep a secret as you will find out at the end! However, you don’t find guys like him very often anymore and he just makes you smile.
