Review: Uncaged Love Vol. 2

Uncaged Love Vol. 2 by JJ Knight

Description:
Colt McClure’s career as a champion MMA fighter is threatened by his damaged past.

Jo believes their love can heal him. To prove it, she trusts Colt with the secret she’s been hiding from everyone.

But there's one person who can stand in their way, and he's not about to let anyone interfere with Colt's future.

Jo’s mysterious past is revealed in Uncaged Love Volume 2.

My Thoughts:
So in case you didn't read my last review. This book is part of a 5 book (one part each week) series. I am reading it as an ARC from the author.

When we left off we were waiting to see just what happens between Jo and Colt. Oh boy do we find out. However, I must first right a wrong I made last week.

I forgot to tell you about Jo's best friend Zero. How I could forget him I have no idea. I have to blame it on how much I wanted to wring Brittney's neck. Zero is awesome. He is a cross dresser, but he is so funny! Never does he do anything except support and encourage Jo. He is the best friend every girl wishes for!

Okay on to the story. This part of the series is so full of ups and downs. After all the waiting in part 1 for something to happen it finally does,  but as it always happens in life everything comes crashing down on Jo. She thinks things are finally perfect and then in the blink of an eye she loses both the guy and the best job she has had in her life.

However when Colt comes knocking on her door everything changes again. Things get better and even Brittney doesn't seem so bad. She even finally gives us details about her past. Wow. Totally didn't see that coming!  Then Jo goes to Colt's fight. It isn't good and once again you want to wring Brittney's neck and are saying OMG did that actually happen when this part comes to an end! Ugh...I hope I get to continue reading because I am on pins and needles waiting to see what the next part brings!!

Review: Uncaged Love Vol. 1

Uncaged Love by JJ Knight

Description:
Colt McClure is a rising MMA fighter out to prove that he has what it takes to be a champion.

Jo is on the run from her one terrible mistake.
When Colt drags Jo from a brawl with street thugs, he recognizes her potential as a female fighter. But as they begin her training, their desire for each other sparks a love affair that could jeopardize them both.
Uncaged Love is a five-part serial that will be issued weekly. Each section will run about 100 pages.

My Thoughts:
Well, have I mentioned how much I don't like cliff hangers? Yep, I don't. LOL Yet I seem to read lots of them, this book included!!  However I was warned this time at least AND the next part comes out on Friday. :) I can handle that.

Okay, now on to the book. Lets start with Colt. We don't learn a lot about him yet in this volume. He is a MMA fighter and seems to be trying to restart his career. However, we aren't sure if he is the one wanting to restart it or if it is his Dad's doing. He is very secretive and just leaves you wondering what his motives are about Jo and Brittney.

Jo has to be the most closed off female character I have ever read about.  She doesn't do emotion, has left home (to which we don't know why), and just seems to have lots of secrets. She is 20 and has never had a boyfriend, let alone done anything with a boy! Why? I don't know!! She is extremely poor and Colt saves her by getting her a job.  When she gets her first paycheck we never see her spend it, so we don't know how much she gets and how much it helps.

Brittney, well.....she is a character in the book. That's about as nice as I can get about her! I'm hoping to learn more of what involvement she has with Colt and the back story in the next volume.

I really enjoyed this volume and can't wait to read the next. I totally recommend reading it, but if you can wait 4 more weeks you can read the entire story cover to cover and I feel that will almost be better!! However, it will give me something to look forward to the next few weeks!

Sorry for not posting!

So sorry for not posting. I have been reading, but not getting reviews typed up. I can tell you that I read all of Nicole Edwards books and LOVED them, but didn't write reviews for them. I find it hard when I am reading a series back to back to back to stop between books to write a review, but hopefully I can get motivated again soon!  Anyway, I do have a review to post today, so I hope you enjoy it.
